Congratulations Jarmarcus Johnson! September Teacher of the Month

Coach Johnson is an MP graduate of the Class of 2003.This is his 5th year as a PE teacher at MP, and he enjoys the relationships that he is able to build with both his students and the teachers with whom he works. He loves the fact that Monroe County is a small school district that loves family and football. He also loves that he is able to work with his best friend, his wife Lashasta Johnson. Coach Johnson and his wife have 4 children: Zuri, Aysen, Kaden, and Laryah. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, video games, and spending time with his family.  If he could go back in time, he would like to go back to 2018 and replay the MP vs Marist playoff game again. If he didn't have to sleep, he would use the extra time to go to the gym and hangout with his kids. His father, high school principal Steve Edwards, and former teachers have all been some of the most influential people thus far in his life. On weekends he loves to travel to different college football games and see the different stadiums. "My goal is to see as many former MP players as I can."
Congratulations Alecia Hansford!
September Support Staff of the Month

Ms. Hansford is an MP graduate with the Class of 1990. She has lived in Monroe County all of her life and she loves it here. She has 2 children: a daughter, Chiquita Kendall, and a son, Jatorian Hansford who plays football for the University of Missouri.  She has been a custodian at MP for 4 years and is a real team player who is always willing to help whenever and wherever needed. She enjoys interacting with the staff and students at school, and in her spare time she enjoys watching movies, shopping, and watching football. Her family, especially her mother, has influenced her life the most. She said that she is proud to call MP her home, and she attributes the success of her son at Mizzou to the strong foundation he received here.
