Budafest 2019 Canceled
With so many on going and upcoming construction projects in downtown Buda, the City of Buda has made the difficult decision of canceling Budafest 2019. However, Budafest will return in 2020 bigger and better to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The City will be hosting other holiday events like Trail of Lights, Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Main Street Sip & Stroll.

Happy New School Year!
We wish all of our teachers, students, and parents an awesome new school year!

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Sneak Peak
We got a sneak peak of the new Baylor Scott & White Medical Center this week. The grand opening is scheduled for September 28. This is the City's first full-service hospital. It is also Baylor Scott & White's first full-service hospital in Hays County.

Oxbox Drainage Improvement Project Update
Check out the latest update about the Oxford Drainage Improvement Project!

The project is nearly done and the channel is nearly complete. The "seed man" will come on Friday to plug seed through the construction area. Over the next week, they will remove and replace all damaged ribbon curb along the roadway damaged by heavy equipment.

Old Goforth Improvement Project Update
We’re nearing the end of Old Goforth Road improvement project! Initial paving will occur August 9-10, 2019 to permit one-way only traffic from North to South (from the intersection of FM 2001 and CR 119 south to the intersection of CR 119 and CR 133). Flagmen will control the East – West crossing traffic at Calomel – Tom Green School Road – this is the only East – West crossing point until the project is complete. Flagmen will be used when needed. Temporary stop signs will be up.

The GREAT NEWS is that the project will likely complete ahead of the contracted finish date (October 22, 2019)! Please observe traffic control signage and be aware of the Smith Construction contractors on the ground and operating equipment to ensure their safety! As we continue to “Meet the Needs of the Citizens,” we will strive for excellence in every way!
