It is a pleasure to welcome to you the new Lower School newsletter The Week Ahead. Each Sunday afternoon The Week Ahead will bring you announcements of and reminders about campus news and upcoming events.

This year, to ensure we are not overwhelming your inboxes with emails unnecessarily we are asking families to "opt in" to receive The Week Ahead. While school-wide announcements and Letters from the Headmaster will continue to be sent to all parents, beginning with next week's edition, The Week Ahead will only be sent to those who have requested it using this form. Recent Town Hall
We were pleased to welcome many within our community to a Town Hall with Ms. Finn over Facebook Live to discuss our campus's plan to Return to Learning. Click below to access a recording of the event if you missed it.
Distance Learning Schedules
Daily schedules for Distance Learning for each grade level are now available at greatheartsirving.org/distancelearning. This page will be updated with additional resources as they become available and the First Day of School on August 19 approaches.
Kindergarten Family Surveys
We are so glad to welcome all our new Great Hearts Irving Kindergarteners! Please be sure to complete your Kindergarten Family Survey prior to August 12 so that we can better serve your child's needs.
Kindergarten Parent Orientation
On August 6, parents of new Kindergarten students joined us over Facebook Live for a Kindergarten Parent Orientation Event. If you weren't able to join us, click below to access a recording.
On the Horizon
Drive-Through Meet the Teacher
Join us on Monday, August 17 for a special Drive-Through Meet the Teacher event. This will be your chance to pick up your child's materials, wave hello to your child's teachers, and check out a student device if you requested one. Look for another communication with further details very soon.
Meals for Distance Learners
We are committed to providing healthy and nutritious meals to all families who would like them. Throughout Distance Learning, families who place an order will be able to pick up one prepackaged meal box containing 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches per student per week. First Day of School: 100% Online
Though it will be a First Day of School unlike any other in history, we are delighted to be beginning another school year with our incredible scholars. We hope to see all our students' shining faces for their class's synchronous Zoom session on August 19.
