Amanda Berrian, assistant professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine and GOHi executive member, along with Pallavi Oruganti, veterinary student, published their study titled, “Gender and zoonotic pathogen risk in a resource-limited community at the livestock-wildlife interface, Mpumalanga, South Africa: a qualitative analysis,” in the Lancet. The work was partially funded by the GOHi Connect and Collaborate pilot funding. Oruganti was selected to make an oral presentation at the April Consortium of Universities for Global Health Conference in Washington D.C. to share the findings. While the conference was canceled, her work may be found on the Lancet’s website. |
