The Rev. Charlie Dupree is Joining Us
This Sunday, August 18th
(But Until Then, Here's a Video About him!)

Charlie will be officially joining us at St. Paul's this Sunday, August 18th, but here's your chance to get a preview of what our new rector is all about! Charlie's introductory video is now up on our YouTube channel (click  HERE ), where he covers his background in the Episcopal Church, some favorite hymns and composers, and more ... in under 8 minutes.

Take a look, and don't forget to "subscribe" to St. Paul's YouTube channel while you're at it -- it's the best way to stay in-the-know with fresh new videos from our church!
Please Wear Your Name Tag This Sunday

This Sunday (and for at least a few Sundays after), we are asking that you make a special effort to wear your St. Paul's name tag. This will help Charlie and Matthew learn to tell us apart -- after all, we are learning two new names, and they will be trying to learn hundreds!

This will also help us learn each other's names, and is just an overall helpful way to get to know each other. So please, wear your name tag! We'll see you on Sunday.

Healing Prayers After Worship Service
This Sunday, August 18th

This Sunday, we will be offering Healing Prayers in the Healing Space (near the wheelchair ramp in the sanctuary) directly after the service. Please join us if you or someone you know could use some blessings for healing and renewal.

Making Meaning of the St. Paul's Windows
This Sunday, August 18 in the Sanctuary

HRI members are conducting small-group discussions in which we sit in small groups to consider the Lee and Davis memorial windows in the St. Paul's Sanctuary. What did they mean to the congregation that installed them? What can they mean to us in the future? Please join us in the Sanctuary after the service to discuss, and check out our web event for more details.
St. Paul's Prayers
Contact: Carter Johann
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

We pray for the workplaces and businesses of Metropolitan Richmond: For economic development in depressed portions of the city, for the establishment of businesses that will create new employment opportunities.

We pray for all the Baptized in their daily work, especially those of our congregation and community who are in the automotive industry including designers, salespersons, manufacturers, insurers, repair persons and office support staff.

We pray for those who are ill: for Dan Benn, partner of Gail James; Grant Hellmers; Steve Jenkins; brother of Maria Everett; Bill Reeves; Bill Savage; Lyn Peple, and Bob and Nita Jones. We also pray for those who are no longer with us: Hughes Melton, friend of Eleanor Burt. May his soul be at peace in the life to come.

Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that you are doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

If you would like to add a name to the prayer list, please contact Administrative and Membership Associate, Carter Johann, at [email protected] or (804) 643-3589.
