Religious Education Connection-REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
As we head back to school and to our regularly scheduled activities, please be SURE to take note of these upcoming events.  IMPORTANT:  All children who plan to attend Religious Education Classes at least twice per month must register by September 8th.  We ask all families to register EVERY YEAR- so even if you've filled it out in the past, please do again.  Many thanks!

Upcoming Events


Sunday, August 25th:  Religious Education Teachers Orientation at 11:30am
Please meet in the chapel after the service at 11:30am for a light lunch and orientation.


Sunday, September 1st:  Religious Education Parent Meeting at 11:30am
Right after the service please stay in the sanctuary for a brief meeting to hear about our Religious Education program for this year.  It's important to attend whether you've been at UUCF for 1 year or for 10 years!  We have new information we want to be sure you have.
 

Sunday, September 8th:  Return to two services at 9:30am and 11:30am**Religious Education Registration Deadline**
  • OWL 7-9- Parent Orientation in the Chapel at 9am
  • OWL K/1- Parent Orientation in the Chapel at 11:30am
Middle hour (10:35-11:25) schedule:   PreK//K Class in room 120, 1st-3rd Grade Class in room 123, 4th/5th Grade Class in room 124, Middle School Youth Group in room 115, High School Youth Group in room 125.

Sunday, September 15th
  • OWL7-9- 9:00am-10:30am in room 115
  • OWL K/1- 11:35-12:45 in room 120
Middle Hour (10:35-11:25) schedule:  PreK-5th Grade will meet in rooms 123 and 124 to create signs for the Climate Strike.  Middle School Youth Group in room 115, High School Youth Group in room 125.

Friday, September 20th:  CLIMATE STRIKE!!!  11am-2:00pm start at the White House (details below)

Saturday, September 21st: Parent's Potluck 5:30pm-8:30pm- CHILDCARE PROVIDED!

REGISTER FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES!
All children ages 6 months-18 years MUST be registered to attend UUCF Religious Education classes.  Registrations are due by Sunday, September 8th.

Our Whole Lives (OWL)
We will be running two sections of OWL this year.  If you haven't signed up yet, please see the links below.  Space is limited to a first come first serve basis for UUCF members and friends.

Religious Education Teachers/Assistants NEEDED for 2019-2020!
There is NO BETTER WAY to make a lasting impact on our UU future, or learning more deeply about your own UU identity than volunteering in Religious Education!  Teachers and assistants needed!!  Please fill out the form if you are interested in being a Sunday School teacher or assistant for the 2019-2020 school year.  We ask for a commitment 2x per month September-May during the middle hour.  All of our teachers and assistants must be background checked and screened.  Thank you for considering, Nichole will be in touch with you!

VOLUNTEER TO TEACH HERE 
September 20th CLIMATE STRIKE in Washington, DC!

CALLING ALL YOUTH!!  If you're interested in attending the Climate Strike in DC, please email Nichole ASAP!  We will be making signs and learning about how we can collectively act together during Religious Education programming on September 15th.  This strike is living our faith in action!
Parent's  Potluck- September 21st 5pm-8:30pm

Bring your favorite Fall dish and enjoy fellowship with other UUCF parents and families!

We will gather on Saturday, September 21st at 5pm (eat at 5:30). Childcare is provided from 5:30-8:30pm (starting after dinner).

We provide all of the paper products and non-alcoholic drinks.  Bring your own Adult Beverages

After dinner, stay and chat or go to the UUCF Open Mic Night which lasts from 7pm until 9:30pm!  Email  Nicole Ramey with any questions.  We hope to see you there!
