With Summer Quarter underway, the college has welcomed a limited amount of students on campus to participate in labs for the second quarter in a row, using appropriate and required safety protocols.
With constant focus on the health and well-being of our students and employees, last week, Governor Inslee
made a proclamation related to higher education
. The
proclamation
, will allow colleges to provide safe, in-person instruction and student services on campus starting this fall (August 1).
With the nature of technical education being so hands-on, we are thankful to have the opportunity to see our students back on campus as we adjust our methods. Going into the fall, m
ost of our programs will still be offered as a mix of remote instruction and face-to-face instruction. This will help minimize the possible spread of the virus among students and faculty, and allow us to pivot quickly back to fully remote instruction if the virus spikes again.
Additionally, we ar
e excited to announce that we have partnered with the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges to expand our support to students with online tutoring services in more than 130 subjects.
While things may look different under the circumstances, the college continues to focus on delivering accessible education during these challenging times.
