Mexico Bans Single Use Plastic Bags

Beginning on January 1 st  of this year a new federal law here in Mexico went into effect that has banned all single use plastic bags and other single use plastic items.  Cozumel, Holbox and Isla Mujeres are leading the way as some of the first places in all of Mexico to begin implementing and enforcing the changes to ban these plastics At Village Tan Kah we're doing our part too. Recently we've supplied each room with reusable grocery bags and biodegradable bags in the garbage cans.

Carnaval 2020!!

FOOD! FUN! DANCING! PARADES! MUCH, MUCH MORE!!! This year Carnaval runs February 22nd through the 25th. For those of you that have experienced Carnaval in Cozumel before, you know what an amazing few days this is, for those of you that haven't, I highly recommend you come down, dive with us, and check out the festivities!. There are parades on Saturday, Sunday, and of course the GRAND FINALE parade on Tuesday the 25th (FAT TUESDAY!!). Contact us today to find our more.

We've Been Hard at Work Here.

We've been working hard here at Scuba Shack Cozumel to make improvements around the shop. Over the last few months we've added we have greatly expanded our area for hanging gear, built an additional platform for tanks, and even added a new seating area and benches.

We've also been working to add more content to our website, facebook, Instagram and Youtube, so please follow us on facebook or your favorite platform to keep up. And check out the News section of our website for more information. www.scubashackcoz.com/news

As divers, our passion and love of the ocean should be the initiative to help make it better. It's not only about what we do, but what we can also teach others to do - To learn and respect this wonderful rock in our solar system - earth, be it above or below the water. We just happen to really love the below the water aspect more than most.....
