"Overused words and phrases are a 'bête noire' for thousands of users of the 'manicured' Queen's English," said an LSSU spokesperson, who released the 'historic' list during a 'town hall meeting.' "We hope our modest 'listicle' will figure 'bigly' in most 'echo chambers' around the world." W ord banishment is used in nearly every North American daily on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, and broadcast on thousands of radio and TV stations all over the world, bringing lots of positive press to LSSU every January.
 
 
It's time to submit nominations for the annual LSSU Distinguished Teaching award. Alumni, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate one or more LSSU professors for this award.  
 
 
LSSU recognizes 439 students who earned Dean's list designation in fall 2016.

Andrew Fry '05 and his wife Jenica donated hundreds of crayon boxes to Memorial Children's Hospital to honor their son.
