The Joint Venture team of AGC Student Chapters at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University's Civil Engineering Department will once again participate
in CANStruction Boston on October
5th 2019.
With their sophomore entry the CM Clubs will help increase hunger awareness and donate food to those experiencing food insecurity in MA as they design and construction non-perishable, canned food sculptures to fit the year's theme of "Around the World".

New Payroll & Compliance Reporting System
The Office of Economic Development and the Boston Planning and Development Agency will soon be launching a new payroll and compliance reporting system through Salesforce to monitor compliance for all construction projects under the
Boston Residents Jobs Policy.
Training sessions will be offered for any person/persons responsible for entering weekly payroll for your workers.

Scholarship Winners!
The recipients rewarded are all outstanding individuals who work hard and show enthusiasm for the construction industry. All recipients are enrolled in a construction management or civil engineering degree program and maintain impressive GPAs. Representing from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and University of Maine. This year's recipients are looking forward to continuing their education and career in the construction industry.

AGC MA Behind the Scenes
Your AGC Staff has been working diligently all summer to prepare for a robust year of technical and educational programming, committee initiatives, work force development efforts and industry collaboration opportunities.
A few things on the docket:
AGC's
Workforce Development Task Force will be offering a variety of out- reach efforts that will include a soon to be launched AGC WFD video series & messaging campaign, local school construction site tours and school partnership opportunities.
Our efforts continue with the Blackstone Valley Educational Foundation in the continuation of this years ACE mentoring program this fall.
AGC's
CLC Committee is working hard on this year's Day of Service to be held this fall at Father Bill's & Mainspring's Evelyn House in Stoughton where more than 50 volunteers will participate in much needed housing renovations.
AGC's
Program Committee's Emerging Risk Toolkit Series picks back up next month along with the Conversations With and Building Best Practices Series.

In May of 2019, AGC's Building Women in Construction announced new Chair Carli Cabana of Siena Construction as the 2019-2020 Chair.
BWiC is pleased to announce Jackie Falla of Elaine Construction will serve as the 2019-2020 Vice (In-coming) Chair and Stacy Roman, Bowdoin Construction will continue on as past chair.
As part of the new committee structure a formal advisory board will be announced this fall!
