Special Election August 13
Ramsey County is holding a special election for Ramsey County Commissioner District 1 on Tuesday, August 13.

Polls will be open from 7 am - 8 pm.

Early voting is available at the Ramsey County Elections Office.
  • August 9: 8 am - 4:30 pm
  • August 10: 10 am - 3 pm
  • August 12: a m - 5 pm

Working to End Sex Trafficking
Join Ramsey County Attorney John Choi along with Assistant County Attorney Karen Kugler and Saint Paul Police Sergeant John Linssen for a conversation about current trends and responses to sex trafficking in Minnesota.

Upcoming Road Closures
Rice Street
Ramsey County will close Rice Street in two areas to complete work to raise the road surface beginning August 19.

Hodgson Road
Hodgson Road will close to traffic between Hawes Avenue and Demar Avenue from 6 pm on Friday, August 15 until 5 am on Monday, August 19.


City council actions
The Shoreview City Council took the following actions at the August 5 meeting:

  • Approved multiple quotes for park improvements including:
  • A new shelter at the neighborhood park off of Mound Avenue
  • New fencing at Bucher Park
  • Resurfacing the tennis/basketball courts at Commons Park and Sitzer Parks
  • Appointed a new hotel representative to the Twin Cities Gateway board. The Twin Cities Gateway is a visitors bureau for the north metro area. The city has been a member since it was created in 2010.
