Keeping Claremont's History Alive!

Two of the signature character defining features of our community is the rich history of Art and Culture that dates back to the founding of Claremont.  Claremont Heritage is constantly collecting and archiving the remnants of our society so that we might not only document the history but also disseminate this valuable information by cataloging them in our archives, making them available to researchers and through educational programs such as exhibitions, documentaries, publications and talks.  The Treasury of Claremont Music archive project, officially launching this month is a good example of this.

Please join us as we celebrate our history through meaningful programs and events.  I look forward to seeing you soon!

Please join us for a tribute to artist and musical legend Chris Darrow who passed away January 15, 2020 from complications related to a stroke.

Chris is alive and well in our hearts and souls - he will continue to inspire and hold us to a certain level of integrity, grace and love.  Thank you Chris!

The evening will be joy-filled celebration of Chris Darrow's life - an exhibition and installation of artifacts that formed the ever-changing backdrop to Chris' multi-faceted and immense talent and contributions to art and culture will be on display in the Ginger Elliott Exhibition Center, and a number of family members and musicians who worked with Chris over the years will perform his music in the Garner House courtyard.
