JA Career Bound Leads to Summer Employment Opportunities
After spending the past school year learning career skills, such as communication, presentation, teamwork while visiting leading industries and meeting employees and executives who share their career journeys, JA Career Bound graduates had the opportunity to put their developing skills to work. Select students participated in the JA Summer Employment Program and worked in companies across the County in paid positions in a number of disciplines, including social media, logistics, inventory control, human resources, etc. Amari Wilson shares her experience at KEMET and how JA Career Bound prepared her for the job:

Volunteers are the Heart of Junior Achievement
Each year, Junior Achievement of South Florida relies on more than 7,000 trained volunteer role models and mentors from the local community to help teach core principles around financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship, to 50,000 students in the classrooms and at JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion. These mentors include working and retired business professionals, corporate teams, parents, and college students.
Join our volunteer family for the 2019-2020 school year. Your efforts will have an impact on today's youth and be a rewarding experience for you.
