337 Qualify for Louisiana's Legislative Elections This Fall
LCUL Prepping for Results

Hopeful candidates filed for their respective races last week ahead of Louisiana's October 12 election. With 337 candidates qualifying, many races are expected to heat up in the final two-month slog before voters take to the polls. Big ticket offices like the Louisiana Governor are on the table, as well as judges, clerks, coroners, sheriffs and other state and local-level positions.

LCUL's partner and lobbyist Adams & Reese provided a listing of those who qualified for the fall ballot. Click here to view their latest partner update

Through meetings and fundraisers, LCUL has established great relationships with many of the candidates. We have our boots on the ground doing background work as we prepare for Louisiana residents to elect their officials. Additional information including in-district visits will become available as we get closer to the election dates.

Candidates must secure 50 percent of the vote on October 12 to win their seat. If they don't, the top two candidates will head to a runoff, scheduled for November 16.
