Zone 3 members were in attendance at the USHJA Annual Meeting, presented by World Equestrian Center, Dec. 10-14 in San Antonio, Texas. 

 

Nearly 300 members from across the country worked together brainstorming new ideas, discussing programs, hearing guest speakers, asking questions and raising concerns all with a common goal of improving the sport. Zone 3 Members Attending USHJA Gold Star Clinic
Congratulations to Zone 3's Lindsay Simmons Beal, Katlynn Butler, Bailey Doloff, Courtney Logan, Hanna Toering, Amelia Zahn, and Julia Ziffer and who will be attending the USHJA Gold Star Clinic in Wellington, Florida, December 27-30. Click here to read more. 

The clinic in Wellington and a second clinic Jan. 18-21 in Thermal, Calif., are part of the USHJA Emerging Jumper Rider Program, which was launched earlier this year in conjunction with the USHJA Zone Jumper Team Championships, to identify Jumper athletes who have the skill and desire to excel in the sport. 

The Gold Star Clinics will be live streamed and available on demand at EQSports.net beginning Dec. 28. USHJA members are eligible for a 50 percent discount on their subscription when they subscribe by entering EQUSHJA2018 in the Redeem Coupon section.

Each clinic will offer four days of horsemanship, stable management, mounted instruction and additional education from top athletes and horsemen including lead clinician Richard Spooner.  Click here to read more about the Gold Star Clinics.

Michael Golinowski Attending USEF George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session
Congratulations to Zone 3's Michael Golinowski of Burke, Va., who was selected to be an assistant stable manager at the USEF George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session Jan. 5-7 in Wellington, Fla.

Participants in the session earned invitations from their performances in USEF marker competitions, through the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session or by being selected from a competitive pool of wild card applicants. Read more about the 2018 session.
