Meet the New MCBDD Service and Support Administration Director
The Medina County Board of DD recently announced that Joelyn Karlson has been hired as the new Service and Support Administration Director.
MCBDD Levy on November Ballot
The MCBDD will have a renewal levy on the Tuesday, November 5 ballot. This is a renewal of the agency's 10 year operating levy and the funds generated by it are used to fund Medicaid match for waiver services. There will be levy kick off and informational event on Friday, August 23 at Medina Lanes.
Health and Safety Alert Transportation Safety
Many people living with developmental disabilities are dependent on third-party transportation, either by a loved one or a service provider. Making sure proper safety precautions are being taken is important when providing transportation services.
New Website and RFP Portal for Providers
As you may know, the Medina County Board of DD recently launched a new website specifically for service providers in Medina County. Included in the new website is a new online Request For Provider (RFP) portal to help match service providers with individuals seeking services

Ohio Department of Medicaid EVV In Use
If you are a certified provider billing in 15 minute units, the Medicaid EVV system went into affect on August 5. (If you bill shared living or in the MRC, you are not using EVV.) There are many resources and trainings that providers can take advantage of if they have questions.

DODD Training Events
The DODD has an online webinar and in-person training calendar that providers may use to see current and upcoming training opportunities that may be beneficial to them.

MyLearning Portal Updates
The DODD training portal, MyLearning, has made some changes and more classes are being added. In addition, after taking an online class through the portal, providers can now save electronic certificates for easy access.
The mission of the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to promote and empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live, learn, work and socialize as citizens in the community.
