Activities for the week will include presentations from four School of Medicine faculty members, a Duke Office of Scientific Integrity (DOSI) Research Town Hall, the Robert J. Lefkowitz, MD, Distinguished Lecture, Innovation Jam, a Clinical Keynote Lecture, and a poster session featuring the research of residents, trainees and PhD students from clinical and basic science departments.

This month, 3 residents and fellows received the Charles B. Hammond Fund award to carry out their research projects ranging from $5,000 to $10,000.

Need help with study planning or protocol development?   
Duke Office of Clinical Research (DOCR) provides a free consultation service that is open to all researchers and study teams who are beginning a new study or planning to conduct clinical research at Duke. During this one-hour meeting, your DOCR Advisor will review with you the operational aspects of your research plan and provide recommendations and resource conconnections to increase efficiency of study approval, start-up, and implementation. Conversations are tailored to the needs of your study and your team, but typically cover: study design, staffing needs, management of regulatory requirements, study implementation and data accrual, management, and analysis plans. To request a Study Planning meeting email docr-studyplanning@dm.duke.edu .
