WORLD BANK AFRICA REGION MACROECONOMIC WEEKLY REPORT
The Office of the Chief Economist of the African Region, Albert G. Zeufack, provides a macroeconomic and financial weekly monitoring report. The monitor is comprised of four sections: 

  • "Covidonomics" Weekly Update
  • Economic and Financial News Update
  • Global Economic and Financial News of Relevance to Africa
  • High-Frequency Macro and Financial Indicators, Covid and mobility data. Information is organized in three areas: Region-wide, West & Central, and East & Southern.

Two new features:
  1. Graphs that plot the evolution of parallel and official exchange rates for selected countries.  
  2. A map of weekly changes in the number of Covid-19 cases.
