Unity and the Spirituality of Rumi - Part 2
In week two of our Rumi series, we will discover why he was called Mevlevi or Mawlana and what they spiritually mean. Our dance with Rumi will include topics such as ~ True Love ~ The Sublime Art of Gathering In ~ The Guest House ~ and again, how they relate to Unity’s 5 Principles and other spiritual teachings as brought forth by our founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore.

Friendsgiving Fellowship
Want some together time with your Unity community? Plan to join us for our Leftovers Friendsgiving Fellowship on Sunday, November 28, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. You can bring extra leftovers from Thanksgiving to share or just bring your own food to eat. Bring a chair to socialize outside if we have more folks than can socially distance inside...or just to give thanks for a balmy Colorado day in late November. Masks are required inside when not eating, and we will be socially distanced during our time together. We hope you can join us!
The Unity Board Would Like your Input
You will be receiving a survey asking for your input on holiday observances, community connections, our 100 year anniversary celebration, and the upcoming book study group. Please complete the survey no later than December 1st, 2021. Thanks, in advance, for participating!
Unity's Gift to You
On Sunday, November 28, between 1:30-3:30 p.m., please stop by Unity to pick up the packet of items you'll need for the holiday season and our planned events: advent books, 2022 calendars, white stones and dissolving paper. We look forward to seeing you! If you're unable to stop by and want the package mailed to you, please email Kayla at [email protected]
Our Unity Community is the Best!
Last Sunday, 16 volunteers came out to rake leaves at Unity. Thanks so much to all who came: Jeff Cahill, Phyllis Cahill, Jarla Ahlers, Edelina Calle, Linda Day, Gloria Hearten, Marlene Milner, Peg Nugent, Kirk Oldham, Laura Smitherman, Sylvia Strickland, Don Turner, Louana Turner, Vern Vobejda, Gaye Woullard, and Susan Anderson. And thank you to Peg Nugent, who provided hot apple cider and delicious treats.
Giving Tuesday
On Tuesday, November 30, there will be a worldwide celebration of generosity. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity. There are many ways to give, including through your time, talents, and financial support. As you consider how you might contribute on Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make a donation to benefit Unity's Benevolence Fund or Operating Fund. Just last week, the Board provided financial support through the Benevolence Fund to two long-time members of our community experiencing challenging times. And gifts to the Operating Fund provide important support for our ongoing operations. What better way to share your Thanksgiving Gratitude with your spiritual community?

Thank you in advance for your generosity! Ways to give are included further down. Please include a notation on your contribution, showing how you wish your gift to be designated.
The Christmas Tree Project

The Christmas Tree Project provided trees and trimmings to almost 500 local families last year who would have been without during the drear of the pandemic. This great program already has over 1000 requests for help this year, and we need Elves to make the magic happen!

The COVID-Safe process is for volunteers to sort and box donated decorations outside on Saturday, Dec. 4th. Then we give trees and decoration boxes out as cars drive thru on Saturday, Dec. 11th.  Specific hours are listed below, but you do not need to come for the entire time. Any hands make lighter work! This is a great service experience for older kids and for adults who cherish bringing Christmas joy to families!

Check out their website: www.thechristmastreeproject.org

Last year was my first time -- and it was a BLAST! To join the Elves, send me your name, email, and phone number -- like this: Peg Nugent, [email protected], 414-333-6641

Ways to Support Your Unity Spiritual Center
Did you know that if you place your Amazon order from www.smile.amazon.com, you can select Unity Spiritual Center in the Rockies to receive 0.5%. of your eligible purchases? All you need to do is click on AmazonSmile from the pulldown screen for your account, select Unity Spiritual Center in the Rockies, and start your shopping. Your donation will be made at no extra cost to you. Although 0.5% is not a large donation and isn't intended to replace your regular contributions to Unity, AmazonSmile is a great way to enhance your giving to Unity.

Also, if you work for a company that has a matching gift program, please consider matching your gifts to Unity. Matching gift programs can sometimes double or triple your charitable donations.
You can also support Unity when you shop at King Soopers/Kroger. They have changed some procedures for the community rewards program that will make it easier for you to participate! 5% of every purchase you make will be donated back to our community. Please use the following link to be directed to the community rewards program page of King Soopers website:
