Girls Inc. Awarded Over $300,000 from the City of Philadelphia's Department of Human Services for Early Grade Literacy
Girls Inc. was awarded a two year grant from the Department of Human Services to expand our Early Grade Literacy program at Edward Heston School. Early Grade Literacy addresses the literacy-based needs of children in grades K-3 by using a model that involves working closely with schools to align programming with school-day learning.  Read more about our Early Grade Literacy program.

On November 9, we will host our first annual Advocacy Summit at Taller Puertorriqueño (2600 N. 5th Street)! Girls in grades 5-12 will come together to become anti-bullying advocates, learn about healthy relationships, and stand up to violence & harassment. Register here for this free event .
Stand with Girls on International Day of the Girl
International Day of the Girl is celebrated on October 11 to recognize girls’ rights and the unique, pressing challenges girls face around the world. At Girls Inc., we believe girls have the right to be safe, respected, and valued. They have the right to access education, pursue meaningful careers, and excel as leaders in their schools and communities. Read more here.
