Youth Activities from Heather
Compassion helps us see and welcome.
To see and welcome is how we accept one another. When we gather together at the table, we accept each other in the same way God accepts us. Through the parable shown in the videos, we will witness how compassion empowers us to release any anger and judgment we may hold toward others, ourselves, and the world for not being what we wanted or needed. We will learn how compassion inspires seeing, forgiveness, and welcoming!

Live in love and smile!

Life Vest Inside - Kindness Boomerang - "One Day"
Watch as the camera tracks an act of kindness as its passed from one individual to the next and manages to boomerang back to the person who set it into motion.
Jesus Heals a Paralytic in LEGO
Four men and their paralytic friend receive news that Jesus returns to their town, Capernaum, so with great passion, they carried the paralytic over to where Jesus was at. The men tried their best to get to Jesus but the people refused to let them through. However, that didn't stop the men from getting the paralytic to Jesus.
Dinner Time Conversation
In the Bible story: Mark 2: 1-12
What do you think it means to be brave? What does it feel like?
Who do you think was brave in the story?
What do you think the friend who was paralyzed felt when he was healed?
What do you imagine the crowd was feeling?
What do you imagine the disciple were feeling?
Prayer
Dear God, I am young, but with your help I can do big things. Help me be strong and brave. Help me to stand up for what’s right, even if no one else does. Amen
Compassion Camp Sunday
“Compassion Camp Sunday” online services have started. We anticipate that this series will run for 7 more weeks, ending just into the start of advent. The worship is designed for the whole family. During these gatherings we will learn what it means to have compassion for others, ourselves, and the world. We will sing, pray, share and listen to God’s word. There will be activities to do as a family and ones to share to our wider community. Packages will be dropped off at your homes or can be picked up at the Church. These packages will help you get the full experience of “Compassion Camp”. Volunteers are needed to help with scripture, prayers and skits.
Please contact Heather (heathermargerisontrillium@gmail.com) to receive the weekly meeting links and camp packages.

Four Friends Help
Mark 2:1-12
This fun craft will help children remember how some people were very “Brave” and helped their friend get healing help from Jesus.
Supplies List:
     Paper
     Crayons, pencil crayons or markers
     Felt
     2 Popsicle Sticks
     String or wool
What’s next:
1.   Cut felt rectangles the length of craft sticks.
2.   Draw a picture of a man and carefully cut him out.
3.   Glue the pieces of felt to the 2 craft sticks (this will become the stretcher for the man to be carried on.
4.   Tie string or wool to each of the 4 ends of the popsicle sticks (a little longer than the length of your mom or dad’s foot). You can use these to lower the man down to meet Jesus
5.   Turn the man one way or the other to show him laying on the stretcher before he was healed, and standing straight after he was healed
6.   Be creative: you can make a house out of a box (put a hole in it so the man can me lowered down), make more people (Friends, Jesus)
