Birdie Fundamentals: Balanced Start
While we always want to start, maintain, and finish with Balance during the swing, we must make slight adjustments to our stance and weight bias depending on the type of shot we need to hit.

Driver:

It is common to tilt toward the back foot at address in order to promote an upward swinging motion at impact. This is one of the few times you will be swinging up on the ball, so make sure to put yourself in position to do so.
Irons & Wedges:

Depending on the lie and the club you select, your weight bias can be anywhere from even to heavily forward. Almost all of your iron and wedge shots need a downward swing, so stay off the back foot as much a possible.
Putting:

Comfort level plays a huge role in the amount of confidence you have as a putter. Weight bias is less important, but generally even is a good place to start. Try moving your center of gravity around until you find a spot suits you.
Birdie Yardage Book: Dreams & Goals
What is the difference between a Dream and a Goal?

You can think of Dreams as the end result. What is the big picture that you want to accomplish? Whether it be playing High School or College golf, or making it all the way to the PGA Tour, there is no wrong answer.

Goals are the steps that you need to take in order to reach your Dream. Later in the book we will learn how to create Goal Ladders: a step-by step process to help you reach the Dream.

The bigger the Dream, the more intense your Goals need to be. Your Goals will also need to be Specific, Measurable, and Important to YOU. Maybe you already know what your Dream is. If not, start thinking about what you want to accomplish in the next 1-5 years, and beyond.
