Hot Springs Village continues to keep our members informed on the latest information about COVID-19 locally and in the state of Arkansas. Currently, we are continuing to follow Phase 2 Directives from the Arkansas Department of Health.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced that 410 more cases of COVID-19 were reported to the state today. Eighty-five of those cases were in correctional facilities and 325 in the community. Forty of today's cases were in Pulaski County.
Today's positive tests bring the number of cumulative cases in the state to 53,487. Of those cases, 5,898 are considered active.
Hospitalizations increased by 16 since yesterday, bringing the total currently hospitalized to 492. Of those hospitalized, 122 are on ventilators.
There were also 16 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the state's total to 619.

As of Aug. 18 at 2:30 p.m., the United States deaths attributed to COVID-19 are 169,870, according to the CDC.
Correction: Yesterday's COVID-19 update incorrectly stated that the state's cumulative case count was 53,777. The correct count for Aug. 17, 2018, is 53,077.
Saline & Garland Counties
As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, 1,277 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County. Of those, 992 have recovered and 277 of the total cases are considered active. The number of deaths in Saline County is eight.
Garland County currently has 1,201 cumulative cases of COVID-19. So far, 945 people are considered recovered and 239 cases are considered active. The total number of deaths is 17.
