Research in Focus: Rehabilitation After Hip Fracture for Nursing Home Residents

2020 Self-Selected Activity: When to Complete

The dust has settled, you have jumped through the hoops and wrote up last year’s Self-Selected Activity meeting the requirements for renewal. You say to yourself “Now what. When should I start working on my next Self-Selected Activity and completing my next Practice Improvement Record?”

2020 College-Selected Activity: Under Construction

The College-Selected Activity is paused while it is being built. Members will be notified when it is ready; watch for an announcement this spring.
Provision of Services
In the coming months, you may find yourself being contacted by our Practice Advisor, Nancy Littke. The reason for this contact is that you have indicated a practice location during renewal that was not on the organization list. The Health Professions Act (HPA) sets out where physiotherapists may provide professional services and gives Physiotherapy Alberta the authority to approve practice settings in which physiotherapy services are provided.

Nancy is contacting you to understand the practice setting and to determine if approval from Physiotherapy Alberta is necessary for you to provide services at this location. Please respond to Nancy’s inquiry as this assists us in ensuring physiotherapist work in settings that allow them to practice in compliance with their regulatory requirements and Standards of Practice.
