Wishing Carey Well & Welcoming Lola!
For the past 5-years, Carey Masson has played a pivotal role as Program Director, managing all daily operations, managing staff and volunteers, caring for our horses, and working directly with our families to make sure they have a positive experience at RHR.

Carey majored in equine studies at Centenary College and now she will be pursuing her dream job of becoming vet technician working with our very own veterinarian.

Carey began working with RHR as a volunteer at age 14 and worked her way up to become a Program Assistant, and eventually became our Program Director.

She will remain working with RHR on a part-time basis and will phase out in the near future. Carey has been the core of our RHR family, and we are so happy to watch her grow and pursue her passion.

We all wish Carey the best of luck in her new role!
We are delighted to announce that Lola Fennimore, RHR Therapeutic Riding (TR) Instructor, will be filling the position of Program Director. Lola comes to RHR with an extensive background in therapeutic riding and equestrian management skills.

Lola holds her therapeutic riding certification from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) and she is pursuing certification in Centered Riding. She has been working with RHR for one-year teaching therapeutic riding lessons and working side-by-side with our clinical social worker in our equine facilitated mental health program.

With Lola’s extensive equine experience as well as her strong administrative and customer service skills, we are confident that RHR will continue to thrive under Lola’s leadership.

We welcome Lola to this new position which will allow her to continue teaching as TR Instructor while managing Rocking Horse Rehab on a daily basis.
