This introductory program is directed to the beginning residential and/or commercial real estate broker to help understand the differences between residential and commercial real estate leasing and sales. The course is an overview to the real estate broker that exposes him/her to various types of commercial properties and explores how tenants evaluate real estate.

This program focuses on commercial real estate basics to provide understanding of the real estate decision-making tools of a commercial tenant or buyer. Decision-making variables will be reviewed including location site selection variables, physical variables, housing availability, transportation, and networking. The participant will be introduced to the Band of Investment Approach and other real estate valuation methods that may be employed for the purchase of investment real estate, end-user occupied building and business asset sales.

The program presents current and anticipated issues in general appraisal practice. Attendees will review the latest legislative initiatives, rulings and announcements by the Ohio Appraisal Board, Appraisal Foundation and Fannie Maw Guidelines, and highlights of the AMC law. We’ll review issues in data collection including third party inspections and USPAP disclosure requirements; legal issues in property; reporting requirements; proposed changes to USPAP; proposed Advisory Opinion dealing with prior appraisals and report content. Scope of Work issues will also be discussed. We will examine the Fannie Mae Collateral Underwriting Program and form updates. Market trends and forecasting will also be reviewed. Register TODAY for this important program!
