Athlete of the Week!
Congratulations to Alejandro Serrano, for being selected as Athlete of the Week by the IV Press on January 10, 2020. Alejandro is a Senior at CHS, who plays as a forward for our Varsity Soccer Team. Alejandro leads the team in goals and is looking to reclaim the IVL Crown!!

The Curriculum Office staff has been training teachers and administrators at the different school sites on student accessibility resources and test settings for ELPAC and CAASPP assessments.

Our amazing high school cafeteria workers prepare nearly 2000 meals daily. They work hard setting up fresh and colorful salad & fruit bars, preparing 12 daily and 31 distinct weekly menu entrees to give students varied menu options to meet their caloric and nutritional needs.
Migrant Education
Happy New Year!! We started the new year with our students Jocelyn Beltran Leon and Citlaly Juaregui presenting their experiences in the UC Connections program. We are also gearing up to begin our Migrant Parent Support Group classes. Our first class will take place Thursday, January 30 from 4 to 6 pm at 641 Rockwood Ave Please see our High Light for more information.
In conjunction with the Special Education, we provided training and support to the student supervision assistants. Our goal is to have all CUSD staff certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention to support our students in times of crisis and and prevent difficult behavior!
