Congratulations to Louisiana on the opening of the first European retrospective of Hartley’s work in over 60 years – with over 130 paintings and work on paper. Accompanying catalogue with essays by Mathias Ussing Seeberg, Elizabeth Finch, Randall R. Griffey and others.
With funding from the Horowitz Foundation for the Arts, noted Hartley scholar Gail Scott will partner with Bates College to direct the Hartley Legacy Project and create the first comprehensive publicly accessible guide to all known works by Hartley.
