Connections Ministry
In the first week of the 5th season St. John's Episcopal partnered with St. John's Catholic to provide shelter and food to an average of 10 guests per evening. I want to give special thanks to the 9 members of SJE who provided supplies, 4 meals, and worked 9 shifts. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! All went well the first week thanks to the great staff at the shelter and all the dedicated volunteers. The St. John's churches are scheduled to host again the week of January 25th. If anyone would like to volunteer before that you can always sign up for any open shifts on line. And remember the Walk in Their Shoes fundraiser for the shelter is coming up October 23rd starting at 10am beginning at the shelter at 220 Hickory Street. Tickets may be purchased online. If there are any questions/comments about the shelter please feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks again for all the support given this ministry!

ALTAR FLOWERS
This Sunday, the altar flowers are
given to the Glory of God and in
honor of her daughter, Kym, by
Ann Clark
We will have two bouquets on our Holy Communion Sundays. If you wish to furnish flowers, the cost is $30.00 per Sunday for 2 bouquets. After worship, an altar guild member will present the flowers to a church member who cannot regularly join us. Please consider being a part of this important ministry. There is a sign-up sheet on the narthex bulletin board.
