Housed on our Research Tools tab on our website , t his new list of resources, which was vetted and selected by Tipp City librarians, provides information on topics that include racism, anti-racism, police relations, criminal justice, protest movements, restorative justice and the experiences of people with diverse backgrounds. If you feel any other items should be added to this resource list, or have any questions, contact our library at info@tippcitylibrary.org . View our Social Justice Resources today.
Sneak Peek at the Library's Renovations to Reopen Our Doors
The Library is beginning its preparation to reopen its doors to the public. Our first step is to install protective screens around our main service points. Thank you to United Way of Miami County for the grant money to assist with the purchase of the materials to do so. The library will reopen when it can be done in a manner than does not jeopardize the health and safety of our employees and the community it serves. Stay connected with our newsletter and Facebook page for the latest updates.

Children's Story Time Kits To Go
Miss Julie from our Children's Department has developed some story time kits for children to take home and explore. These special story time kits are fun for children ages 2 to 6 to enjoy at home. Each kit comes in a canvas bag, and contains 3-4 picture books based on a theme, some finger plays/songs, and a game or craft to do at home, along with all of the supplies for the craft contained in the bag. Email our library at info@tippcitylibrary.org or call our library at (937) 667-3826 to request one of the themes listed below (only one story time kit may be checked out at a time) and our library staff will check-out the books to you and place the bag in our Curbside Services shelf in the rear entrance of the library. All of our story time kits can be kept for up to two weeks. When finished, keep all of the song sheets and craft materials, and return the bag with the books to one of our book drops. Miss Julie will continue to add more themes throughout the summer. View the latest list of story time kits from the Children program tab on our website .

Magic with Gordon Russ - CANCELED
On Tuesday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m., our library had originally planned a virtual program with Gordon the Magician, but unfortunately, this program has been canceled. Luckily, we found a new virtual programming opportunity to fill the spot--read our newsletter article on Science Tellers Virtual Family Program "Dragons: The Return of the Ice Sorceress" for more information and go on this exciting reading adventure.
Join Science Tellers Virtual Program "Dragons: The Return of the Ice Sorceress"
A long time ago, in a faraway land, two brave villagers went on a daring journey to release the dragons and save the kingdom from an evil Ice Sorceress. When things do not go as planned, viewers might need to look to themselves — and to science — for the answer! Don’t miss this fun fantasy adventure for the whole family that features storytelling mixed with science AND awesome dry ice experiments as special effects! Click the link on the Children program tab on our website at noon on June 9 through July 31 to access the virtual program. You will also find links to activities to download to extend the learning at home before and after the program. View the video to gain points toward the Virtual Programming Badge in Beanstack.

This event is supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, an anonymous donor, and the Friends of the Tipp City Public Library.

After viewing this program, we ask that you please take the LSTA Instructional Survey . This survey helps us evaluate our programs and secure future grant funding. We appreciate your participation in this survey.
Imagine Your Story Book Club for Young Readers
Join Miss Heidi this week for our Live Book Club for K-4th grade readers. We will meet twice a month on Wednesdays, 12:30-1:00 p.m. on our Facebook page . Have lunch while we talk about different types of fantasy books. Miss Heidi will preview picture books, easy readers and chapter books that relate to the theme of the week, then club members will have two weeks to read a book that relates to the theme. Once the young reader has read the book, they can post a book review of their book on our Facebook video post, or drop a picture or book report of the book read in our book drop to earn points toward the Virtual Book Club badge on Beanstack. A suggested reading list for each Book Club meeting will be on our website on the Children program web page. Books may be reserved through our library or downloaded from Hoopla or Libby . Join us for our book club's first meeting on Wednesday, June 10, as Miss Heidi discusses this week's theme: Imagining with Folk Tales & Fairy Tales.
