REMINDER: The Backyard Picnic is Tonight!
Our first “Family Fun” event of the year has been planned! Pack a picnic for your family and join us on the lawn!
By this time, the kids will have made new friends and settled into their routines. This will give them an opportunity to be together outside of the classroom while parents get to know each other! It’s going to be a great night! We can’t wait!
Feel free to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, lawn games, food/drink for your family and tailgate tents. Let us know if you have any questions!

Knights Honor Cross Awards
The Knights Honor Cross is awarded to those students who perform acts of extreme kindness and generosity without an expectation of recognition, but simply because it is the right thing to do. Our first six recipients are:
Casey Troutman, Timothy Klein, Matthew Buyco, Cooper Beshel, Jasleene Guido and Martin Gonzalez-Carrera.
Their actions exemplify the core values of Blessed Sacrament School.

A Time for Twos
Blessed Sacrament School’s Time for Twos program is designed as a gentle introduction to school. Our program encourages children to work in a group, explore new materials, and make age-appropriate developmental transitions.
Our Program
Time for Twos meets on Wednesdays for a six week session in the fall (September to October). The 45-minute meetings are led by Program Director, Jill Zang Glenn. Each child must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver
A typical meeting includes an art project, free play, story and music.
Session dates are: September 25th and October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th
How to Apply
Children who will be age two by August 31st of the current school year are eligible to enroll. Sessions are then filled on a first come-first served basis. Enrollment in Time for Twos does not guarantee a place in the preschool the following year.
Time for Twos is currently enrolling for the Fall 2019 session. If you are interested in enrolling your child please contact David Lynch at
admissions@bssknights.org
or 336.570.0019.

Volunteers Needed for Iowa Test Proctoring
We are in need of a large number of parent and community volunteers to assist us as proctors from Sept. 30th - Oct. 3rd during the Iowa testing. It’s easy and no special skills are needed!
Proctoring involves assisting a teacher with handing out and collecting test materials. Proctors aid the teacher in monitoring the class during the test. Proctors are not present to help students with test questions but only to assist the test administrator as needed.
Parents cannot proctor their own child's class.
Proctors are asked to be available from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on testing days.

HERE to sign up.
Thank you for your assistance and your support for teachers!

St. Theresa’s Prayer
“May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.”
