ISPTSA GOODWILL FUNDRAISER
THIS Saturday, November 20, 9 AM–12 PM
International School Parking Lot
Goal: Fill two Goodwill trucks with donations.
Reward: We receive $600 for each truck filled. Plus, you get a less cluttered house!
Start gathering your donations! The International School PTSA will be hosting a Goodwill Drive on Saturday, November 20, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Clothes, shoes, household items, small electronics, books, toys, sporting goods, and accessories can be collected. Please no large furniture. Goodwill is also a certified e-waste recycler, so they will take computers, peripherals, televisions, monitors, and other e-waste.
We are also looking for adult and student volunteers to help with the Goodwill Drive. Students earn volunteer hours while helping IS! Email Emilie, ISPTSA President, with questions.

SIGNS OF SUICIDE PROGRAM AT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Thank you to all who joined us for our information night for International School families about our Signs of Suicide program. Please visit our Parent Nights webpage for the recording and resources. This coming week, we will be starting our Signs of Suicide (SOS) program in our 7th–10th grade PE/Health classes. If you would like your student to opt out, please complete and return this letter to let us know. Our goal is for our students to understand how to help themselves and how to help others. Please contact one of our school counselors if you have questions, concerns, or need support.

IS Lottery Applications for incoming 6th grade (current 5th grade) students for the 2022–23 school year will be accepted beginning Monday, December 6. The application period will close Friday, January 7 at 4:30 PM. Siblings of current International School students must apply by January 7 at 4:30 PM to be enrolled in Autumn 2022. The Bellevue School District learning community suffered a tremendous loss with the death of a student on November 5. BSD Interim Superintendent, Dr. Art Jarvis, shares a message with BSD families around the importance of community during a crisis and the outpouring of support in our learning community as we navigate tragedy together. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans, past and present, on November 11 in honor of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I. WHEN YOUR STUDENT IS SICK
The Washington Department of Health recently updated its guidance regarding returning to school if symptoms are present. Please refer to this updated guidance flowchart. If in doubt, our staff is able to provide guidance on the flowchart. Due to staffing shortages, Jubilee Reach has temporarily suspended service for International School effective immediately. The immediate impact is that the next season—flag football—will not occur.
