Plan Now for  Keep Space For Peace  Week
October 5-12, 2019
Keep Space for Peace

Is your branch or community planning an event for Keep Space for Peace Week? We'd like to know!
Nationwide, many events are already scheduled. You can find out if an event is planned near you and report your event .
WILPF US Disarm/End Wars Committee has supported Keep Space for Peace Week for decades. This year's event has particular relevance, since we've learned that space wars are being practiced right now. (See "US Space Command's First Big War Game Is Already Under Way", September 11, 2019.)  WILPF branches are encouraged to design October 5-12 events to connect with WILPF's October Solidarity Event, focusing on treaties; Trump administration actions are in violation of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty.
Bruce Gagnon, co-founder of Global Network to Keep Space for Peace, encourages supporters to print and share the poster and to share the "Space Week" promotional video by Will Griffin.
