VINJE KIDS OF ALL AGES ARE HAVING MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES THIS SUMMER!
This year for Vacation Bible School, we tried something a little new and different. We partnered with Green Lake Lutheran Ministries, Bethel and Calvary Lutheran Churches to provide a week of Day Camp at Shores of St. Andrews. All students gathered for morning worship at Vinje at 8:30 every day, then students Kindergarten-5th grade took a bus from Vinje to Shores Monday-Thursday, while pre-K students stayed behind to have their own program at Vinje. Even the pre-K students got to join in the fun of camp with a morning at Shores on Thursday! This was a great experience for kids to get a taste of what camp is like, while enjoying some fun and learning with kids from their own church and other churches in the area. We had over 125 kids from the area participate, including over 50 from Vinje!

Thank you for supporting our children's programs at Vinje so that kids can continue to have wonderful experiences like these!
Vinje's high school youth had a wonderful time in Denver and had the opportunity to learn a lot about the problems of hunger and how they can make a difference. We also got to work with some pretty adorable kids who have recently immigrated to America from different countries around the world and are being aided by Lutheran Social Services. Of course we did some other things like hiking in the mountains, visited the beautiful Rocky Mountains National Park, worshiped our amazing God every night, and learned how Jesus calls us to the cross the lines that sometimes divide God's people. We can only hope the Middle School youth have the same meaningful experience when they travel to Saint Louis later this month.
