Do you support families with kids 4-12 years old
  • Take our Kids Have Stress Too! Digital Training This 3 hour training provides you with tools to teach children to identify and manage stress. You will receive a certificate of completion and ongoing access to our experts. You can register for one of our regularly scheduled sessions here.
  • Encourage use of Stress Stoplight with parents and caregivers. This tool will help parents start a dialogue with their children about stress. You can share the Helping Kids Handle Stress Brochure to help parents guide the conversation and understand where their kids are coming from.
  • Share these Stress Busting Techniques with the families you support. When we’re all stuck inside, being active might be tough. These fun ideas don’t require a lot of space or any materials. Anyone can try them out. Try them today!
  • Help parents keep track of ways to mitigate their children’s stress with our My Child’s Life checklist. This checklist helps parents reflect on their child’s physical and emotional wellness. This tool will encourage parents to try some of the toolbox activities that are also included on our website.

  • Take our Stress Lessons Digital Training. This 3 hour training provides you with tools to teach youth to identify and manage stress. You will receive a certificate of completion and ongoing access to our experts. You can register for one of our regularly scheduled sessions here.
  • Watch our webinar The Good Fight to get some insight on healthy conflict strategies. A natural part of growing up is seeking independence, this may lead to some tension between teens and parents. This may be especially true now that we are all cooped up together!
  • Share these Stress Busting Techniques with the families you support! When we’re all stuck inside, being active might be tough! These techniques don’t require a lot of space or any materials. Anyone can try them out.
  • Forward this easy to follow tip sheet on understanding stress and signs to look if you are worried about stress becoming an issue in their teen’s life.

Resources for all ages!
  • Parents and professionals with kids of all ages can make use of learnings from our webinar A Parent’s Guide To Staying Sane During the COVID-19 Pandemic. We could all use some advice on how to keep our heads on straight during this time!
  • How do we cope with all the changes we’ve had to deal with? Check out Life, Interrupted to learn about how we can move to a more optimistic mindset as our big life events get cancelled or adjusted around us.
  • Sometimes we forget the importance of including dads in supporting their kids as traditional gender roles tend to minimize the father’s role. Check out Dad Central Ontario’s video on how to engage fathers in your work and our Hands-on Dad booklet.
