TBC Member Ushers Needed
Erev Rosh Hashanah is Sunday, September 29. For everyone who has returned a membership package, we have sent tickets for all immediate family members, along with the High Holy Day Newsletter.
If you have a child in religious school, we must have your membership package as well as your school forms for them to attend school. If you do not have a child in the religious school we still need you to send in your package asap so that we can send your High Holiday tickets!

Special Family Services High Holy Days Ticket Prices for Non-Members
This year, as we celebrate our new High Holy Day prayer book for families (Mishkan HaNefesh For Youth), we are adding an opportunity for non-members who would like to attend family services (only) to purchase High Holy Day Tickets at the special price of $54 each. Normally, this special price is only available to family members of current TBC members, but this year, ANYONE who wants to attend Family Services has the opportunity to purchase special tickets for this lower amount. We encourage TBC Members to let your friends know and invite them to check out High Holy Day Family Services at TBC!

for Screening of Emanuel and Panel Discussion

The forgiving acts of the survivor and family members of the victims influenced the healing process of the devastated community of Charleston and impacted our nation. Emanuel examines the powerful ways faith, hope and forgiveness triumph over all. We are honored to have two members of Emanuel Church with us for this screening and discussion.

A New Selichot Experience for Teens and Adults
(TBC and Congregation Shir Shalom)
Saturday, September 21
Selichot is a special service in the days leading up to Rosh Hashanah that prepares us for the Yamim Nora'im (Days of Awe) by introducing the musical and spiritual themes of the High Holy Days. This year,
Temple B'nai Chaim and Congregation Shir Shalom are excited to offer a new opportunity for teens and adults of both congregations.
On September 21, each synagogue will be offering unique programming for a specific demographic group:
Adults from both congregations are invited to
Congregation Shir Shalom (46 Peaceable St, Ridgefield, CT 06877) from
7:30-9:15 pm for a Selichot study session and service.
Teens from both communities are invited to
Temple B'nai Chaim (82 Portland Ave, Wilton, CT 06897) from
7:15-9:30 pm for an abridged service and evening of activities.
Both experiences will help their participants feel ready for the High Holy Days. We hope that you'll join us for this new approach to Selichot!

These listening sessions have been so valuable, that we've decided to add another one!

and add the following rehearsal dates to your calendars!
Rehearsal Times:
September 28, 12:00 - 1:00 pm and
October 6, 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Sign-up for the Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event
On
Saturday October 19, TBC will be participating as a congregation in the 9th annual Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event in Wilton.
Our goal is to package over 160,000 meals this year and raise $2,000 as a Congregation to fund 6,500 meals. These meals will be sent to hungry children in developing countries. It is critical that we raise the $2,000 to contribute our fair share of the costs. Please support this event by sending a check to TBC and note that it is for Rise Against Hunger,

or donate when you sign-up. This year each meal costs $0.31, so $20 buys 65 meals and $100 buys 322 meals -- a really good deal!
Sign-up and donate now! As in prior years there will be opportunities to sign up for set up, clean up and 4 two hour production shifts. Don't forget that children 5 and older can help (our 5-year-olds last year had a fantastic time and really contributed!).

New Jewish Senior Services Hospice Volunteer Training Dates
Chaifetz Family Hospice will be holding a 2-Day Hospice Training for people interested in giving their time and compassion to JSS clients in Fairfield County. Training will be held at Jewish Senior Services, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT on
