Overview:
The Gifted Guru, Lisa Van Gemert, is a nationally recognized speaker on gifted education. She is a former teacher, administrator, and parent of gifted children. Her presentations focus on translating research into language and strategies that all educators can use to improve their students' progress and learning. Tailoring her presentation to the needs and interests of the participants, Lisa will share best practices on topics such as:
- Creativity and instructional strategies
- Depth and complexity
- Differentiation
- Identification and assessment
- Social and emotional needs of the gifted
A certificate of completion for 6 contact hours will be provided.
This PD meets core competencies outlined in Ohio's Operating Standards for Gifted Education.

$70 for ESC of Lake Erie West member districts. $100 for nonmember districts.
