Greetings!

The days are getting shorter, the leaves are beginning to change colour, and before long, the ambassador booth will be ready to hibernate.

In this e-newsletter you can read about the events we have attended this month, upcoming events, Ambassador updates, and a new campaign you should know about.

Events
Orillia Fall Fair

It was quite the windy day when Jane Bonsteel, Petra, and Joelle set up the booth at the Orillia Fall Fair on September 7th. It was a wonderful way to ring in fall with the Orillia community!

Here are some of the results they collected:

Number of people reached: 29
Number of e-newsletter sign ups: 12

Thank you so much for volunteering!
Updates
Upcoming Events
September 25: Grant's Woods Booth

If you are interested in lending a hand at the events above, please see the Ambassador event calendar for times and email Joelle at info@couchconservancy.ca or call 705-326-1620.

Notice something different about the Ambassador Event Calendar? We have changed the format! This calendar drop-down style works the same as the previous calendar, but allows you to read about the event, see events more than two months ahead, and is easier to read. If you prefer the older calendar layout, please let us know!
Reminder: Passport to Nature Booklets
Thank you to everyone who helped distribute Passport to Nature booklets this past Spring! If have some booklets left over, please distribute them to local businesses and sponsors or bring them to the office.
Question of the Month
What is the Black River Wildlands Corridor Campaign?

The Black River Wildlands Corridor campaign is a multi-year campaign aimed at protecting parcels of connected wilderness to build a corridor for all species that call this area home. The Black River Wildlands is teeming with wildlife and has the right mix of crown land, park land and potential conservation land to facilitate a natural corridor. The first parcel we are working to protect is the Pitts Property, a 185 acres area consisting of alvar, a rich aquifer, wetlands that meets the head river, and diverse forests.

It's always good to stay updated on current campaigns and Conservancy news. Whether you're at a booth, inviting supporters to events, or handing out Passports to sponsors and local business, being up to date on what we are working on allows you to confidently answer questions if they come up. This information can be found on the Ambassador Page. Also, if you ever have any questions you can always reach out to Courtney or Joelle.
