To Do
  • Review the provided scenarios against your current plans and possible roommate(s) and make sure your plans still feel realistic. Make sure you have discussed back-up plans.
  • Keep an eye out for an email sent to your wfu.edu address by November 29th with your selection time (EST) for Spring 2022 selection.
Hello-

I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the end of your fall semester. We are writing today to those who are currently away from the Reynolda campus and we anticipate participating in Spring Only Housing Selection on December 8.

In order to help you continue your preparation and planning for selection, we’ve compiled an overview of possible scenarios for planning purposes; those can be viewed here. As noted on the spreadsheet - this information is tentative, subject to change, and meant to give you a framework as you plan. A detailed availability list will be released on December 3, and final availability will be viewable in the Housing Portal during selection.

We hope this tool will help you with the suggested preparation steps from our previous message:

Find a roommate.
  • Note that a group of larger than 2, regardless of gender, will have very limited options. Instead, be realistic about being committed to pairing off with no more than one other person as you put together your Plan A/Plan B approach for selection day.
  • If you choose to go larger than 2, please pre-plan for how you will split up if the larger option gets selected before your selection time. This will prevent panic and impulsive decisions on selection day.

Prioritize your wants.
  • What’s most important? A specific roommate? A general location? A suite or apartment? - the linked scenarios allow you to get a sense of what will likely be available in a few weeks.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at housing@wfu.edu
