Dear Parishioners, I know that you are as impatient as I am to return to the public celebration of the Mass. I encourage you to remember what St. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:4, "Love is patient and love is kind." Our frustrations over the health situation in our world can lead us away from that love. We have never experienced anything quite like this in our lifetime and it will be a spirit of love that sustains us and gets us through this. Speaking of love, please know that as my time as your pastor draws to a close, I feel your love. I look forward to seeing you at the drive by party on Sunday, June 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Until then, please continue to pray for me as I will be praying for you! Yours in Christ, Father Apo

These past two weeks of having the church open for private prayer have caused me to reflect a bit. To be honest, we haven't had a lot of people stop by. I know people really, really miss Mass and are anxiously waiting to return. Stopping short of Mass, given that Jesus is truly present in the tabernacle, there's something very special in visiting him. I remember when I was a little boy my great-grandmother was babysitting me one afternoon. Her house was close to our parish church. Several people came to inform her that my grandfather (her son) had died. This upset me. My first inclination was to run up the street to church to pray. McGivney back in 1882 in New Haven Connecticut to protect widows and orphans in his community and to protect families during a time when Jews and Catholics were denigrated. These days, we are almost 3 million members around the globe and we still keep the same objective to protect widows and orphans by the time we promote Charity, Unity and Fraternity for our members, parishioners, families and community through programs that promote God’s love and brotherhood always following our pastor and communities needs. St. Anthony & Our Lady of Victory Parishes Team Up for a Pack the Panty Drive Thru On Father's Day, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the parishes of both St. Anthony and Our Lady of Victory will team up for a Pack the Pantry Drive Thru at St. Anthony's Parking Lot. Please bring food and toiletry items for McAnthony Window. Also, for those of you who took a baby bottle to fill with money for the Knights of Columbus fundraiser, please return your bottle to the drive thru or bring to the parish office during the week.
