We’ve probably all heard and used the phrase, “It’s like pulling teeth to _____,” meaning that it’s hard to get cooperation from the “patient” when it comes to a certain task. In reality, while a dental extraction is an important procedure that requires careful prep, planning, execution and recovery, it’s not one patients need to dread.

Tooth Replacement Options
Wisdom Teeth: What's The Deal?
A missing tooth can keep people from smiling – which is one of our favorite things! Fortunately, at Eggert Family Dentistry, we have some excellent options when it comes to replacing a lost tooth. Read more on what those are below!

Wisdom teeth, or third molars, typically emerge in a person’s late teens to early twenties. More often than not, these teeth present problems and need to be surgically removed. Let’s take a look at some specifics so you know what to watch for!

Invisalign – Beth's Story
After going through traditional orthodontics as a teenager, Beth didn’t wear her retainers afterward resulting in crowded as an adult. Beth wanted her teeth to be straight without the use of traditional braces. Read about her journey with Invisalign and how it helped fix her crowding and improve her bite.
Our latest Wonder Women!
Tracy was our Wonder Woman in July. Tracy works chair side with Dr. Elizabeth and has been with the practice for nearly 3 years. Tracy was nominated by her peers because she has been increasingly taking on more responsibilities and always does so with ease and a smile on her face.

Tracy maintains a very positive attitude, never letting stress from unexpected situations get her down. Tracy has a steadfast and consistent approach to her work which really helps as she keeps tabs on all the instruments and their sterilization status. Tracy is an uplifting team member, always willing to help out, and very worthy of WONDER!

Thank you Tracy for all you do and congratulations on your well-deserved award.

Joanna was another recent Wonder Woman recipient. Many of you have had the chance to meet Joanna during her 14 years with Eggert Family Dentistry. In fact, Joanna has been with the practice longer than either Dr. Elizabeth or Dr. Jeff!

Joanna serves as one of our four Licensed Dental Hygienists. Joanna maintains a very organized room and always finds the time to prepare herself for the day by thoroughly reviewing her patient charts. Joanna has a very gentle touch with her hygiene patients and gets a lot of repeat requests. Joanna easily implements new procedures into her daily routine, recently being very consistent in taking intraoral camera photos to really help our patients understand what is going on in their mouths.

Joanna, we can't thank you enough for all you have done for the practice over the years. We congratulate you and thank you for your loyalty.
