GOC Celebrates Constitution Week
Principals Message

We look forward to enjoying an evening with our GOC families and students tonight as we celebrate our Back to School Bash Movie Night

Our Social Studies Department will be hosting a fun event tomorrow,  Friday, September 20 beginning at 9 a.m. as we wrap up our week-long celebrations of Constitution Week.  

Magic Moments Photography will be on campus next week offering Fall Portraits to students who wish to have their school pictures taken. 

Gwinnett Online Campus has certainly been buzzing with lots of students on campus; participating in on-campus labs as well as the many extra-curricular activities that GOC has to offer. It has been an amazing start to our 2019-20 school year.
Grade 5: Iowa Testing

Students in grade 5 will participate in IOWA Testing the entire week of Monday, September 23 through Friday, September 27 from 9:30-11 a.m.

Parents and students have received information to their email account with a summary of dates and times for testing. Please visit the IOWA section of the assessment page of our main website to review more details about testing.

Grades 4-12: Fall Portraits

Magic Moment Photography will be on campus next week, September 24-26 for Fall Portraits. Portraits are optional and students who are interested in having their picture taken should dress accordingly.  If you are interested in participating, please plan to arrive on campus by 8:30 a.m. based upon the grade level schedule posted below.

Grades 4-12: Back to School Bash Movie Night

All students and their families are cordially invited to join us this evening, Thursday, September 19 for our fun filled Back to School Bash Movie Night. 

Doors open at 6 p.m.as we kick-off our fun festivities with our Super Hero Costume contest, fun games, Kona Ice (from 6-8 p.m.) and $1 concessions. Our feature presentation, "The Incredible's" will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Please consider donating birthday celebration supplies for the Southeast Co-Op.

Grades 4-12: Social Studies Friday

All students in grades 4-12 are invited to come celebrate Constitution Week with us during Social Studies Friday tomorrow,  September 20 at 9 a.m.

Students will have a chance to participate in different Constitution Week activities and meet our special guest speaker, Ms. Nabilah Islam, Seventh Congressional District Candidate. Parents are also invited to arrive on campus at 10:45 a.m. to join us for the guest speaker. 

If students are unable to attend campus for this event, they can join the live session with Ms. Nabilah Islam at 10:45 a.m. by clicking  HERE  to join virtually. Students will be able to log in by using their Adobe Connect credentials.

The Owl's Nest Cafe will be selling a special treat in recognition of Constitution Week.

All  students in grades 4-12 are invited to join us for our first Club Friday Meeting on
Friday, September 27 from 9 a.m.-Noon. Students may plan to stay the entire time or drop-in for the club or clubs of choice.

Welcome to Shine Bright - a new game show here at GOC!  Please be prepared...you may become one of the lucky contestants to play the next time you are on campus.

  • Do you know the right answers?
  • Remember to always write down important dates on your calendar or set a reminder in your phone so you never miss out on fun opportunities on campus.
Grades 6-12: Student Leadership Dues

All new and returning students in grades 6-12 who are interested in joining the Student Leadership Team should visit their MyPaymentsPlus account to pay their annual dues of $25.

Grades 6-12: Odyssey of the Mind

All students in grades 6-12 are invited to join our 2019-20 Odyssey of the Mind Kick-Off Meeting on  Friday, September 27 at 11 a.m.

Parents should plan to attend this very important meeting with their student as there will be a lot of parent involvement in Odyssey of the Mind.

Grades 6-12: Breathe Better Gwinnett

Parents of students in grades 6-12 are cordially invited to participate in the Breathe Better Gwinnett informational meeting on Monday, October 14 from 3-7 p.m.  This session is presented by the Northside Hospital Gwinnett Pulmonary Program in partnership with the GMC Foundation.
