PLANT SALE IS TOMORROW
Shop Early for Best Selection

The plants are out, the shade structure is up, and the food trucks are prepping ingredients- the Museum is ready for the Plant Sale, tomorrow from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm! Botany staff will be on hand to help you find the best plants for all your garden needs, and send you home with plant-specific care sheets. Bring the kids along - they'll love dancing to the music and participating in the paint a pot activity. Best of all - the proceeds from the sale support the Museum's daily operations. Make sure to arrive early for the best selection, as some species will sell out. Start your list! 

RAPTOR FREE FLIGHT TAKES OFF
Presentation Opens for the Season on October 18

The birds are back - Raptor Free Flight returns Saturday, October 18! This is a presentation like no other:  native birds fly completely untethered in the open desert and you may even feel the brush of feathers on your head. Get your cameras ready for some amazing up-close photo opportunities of a Barn Owl, Ferruginous Hawk, Prairie Falcon, Harris's Hawks, and more! There are two shows daily at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and each features different birds. Safety tip: remember to slather on the sunscreen and stay hydrated. Learn more 

HALLOWEEN AT THE BOO!SEUM
Celebrate with Fun and Educational Activities

Learn about the not-so-spooky Halloween creatures that call the Sonoran Desert home at the first-ever Creature Features at the Boo!seum, October 25-26. Bats, owls, snakes, tarantulas, and bugs take center stage in this fun and educational weekend. Visit activity stations around grounds, then unscramble the clues you receive to get a treat! Docents will showcase Halloweeny animals, and you may even get a chance to meet the Museum's newest Barn Owls! Get your costumes ready - kids 12 and under who come in a Sonoran desert animal, plant, or mineral costume will be admitted free. Learn more 

FALL BRINGS CHANGES
More Reasons than Ever to Visit the Museum
October 1 marks the start of many new things for the Museum! Hours will see their seasonal change to 8:30 am to 5:00 pm daily, with last admission at 4:15 pm. The newest tour, Living off the Sonoran Desert debuts daily at 1 pm, and the ever-popular Desert Discovery tours switch to 9:00 am, 10:45 am, and 2:45 pm. You'll also notice a switch in the Theater's live animal programs - Live and (sort of) on the Loose will be presented Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:15 pm, and Fur, Feathers, and Fangs will be presented Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12:15 pm.. Come and enjoy it all!
