To report absence, tardy or an early release please email:  attendance@stmikes22003.org  When arriving late ALL students must come to the main office.  A staff member will take them to their classroom.

From our Principal

We had a wonderful session with Mr. Doug Kammerer, the meteorologist at NBC 4. Our students got to learn a lot about his job and how he is able to predict weather with accuracy.   It is great to see all the parents coming out of their cars to greet the children; however, it is equally important that once you have your child/children, you get back into your cars promptly. We want you to get back home in timely manner.   Students not picked up by 3:20 pm will sent to Extended Care and you will have to walk into the building to sign your child/children out.   Morning arrival starts at 7:30 am. If you want to drop them off early, please walk in and sign them in into Extended Care.  Reminder: Please send in your signed Handbook Agreement Form, if you haven’t already done so.   God Bless! BOX TOPS YES! We still collect Box Tops For Education! Send them in with your child! Box Tops For Education is moving to a "Scan your Receipt" option, but for now... Send in those BOX TOPS! Saint Michael School receives $.10 for each box top that we turn in! For more information check out their website ( www.btfe.com ), create an account so you can SCAN YOUR RECEIPT FOR SAINT MICHAEL SCHOOL! If there is a parent volunteer that would like to help clip and count box tops, please let the office know. Thank you.

PTO NEWS Please join us for our next PTO General Meeting on Tuesday, October 1st at 6:30pm in the cafeteria! October Hot Lunch calendars went home today. Please return the calendar with payment no late than September 25th. Make sure CHILDS NAME is on the Calendar. We are asking for 3 parents per lunch.  We Need Your Help for Recess and Lunch to run smoothly  Sign Up Genius Link Every Family (K-8) is required to work 5 hours of lunch  or pay the $100 opt out fee.

PAUL VI CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL October 4th - all 6, 7, and 8th grade students and their families are invited to attend Rally in Alley (games, food and fun!) at 6pm and the Football Game which begins at 7pm OPEN HOUSE will be October 27th at 1:00. Presentations will be at 1:15pm and 2:15pm in the Father Heet Auditorium. Come and learn about the 1:1 laptop program, The Special Programs (DeSales Learning Center, Options Program). Be sure not to miss the Fine Arts Classrooms. Department heads and faculty will be on hand to answer any questions.

BISHOP DENIS J. O'CONNELL HIGH SCHOOL Open House at Bishop O'Connell October 13, 1:00-4:00. Presentation begins at 1:00. A Visit with Doug Kammerer

NBC 4 Meteorologist at SMS! What a special treat for our students! Doug Kammerer from NBC 4 was at our school! He told our students how he got interested in the weather from a young age, showed them the maps he uses to prepare his weather forecast, and how he prepares to be LIVE on Television. Our students asked great questions, and we found many students interested in Meteorology. And then... we saw ourselves on TV!  Thank you, Doug Kammerer!
