Celebrating 50 Years! Member of the Month: Laura Lovelace
blue and green 50th anniversary logo Our second September member of the month is Laura Lovelace from PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, MACH1 (Move a Child Higher) in Pasadena, CA! Laura joined PATH Intl. about three years ago as she became interested in becoming a certified instructor. She first learned about EAAT from a recreational therapist following being released from the hospital after a car accident.

Laura Lovelace with horse Coming from a career as an elementary school teacher, Laura gave one of the best answers to the question: What is your favorite thing about belonging to the EAAT community? "Smiles," she said!  "Smiles on riders, instructors, sidewalkers and parents!" Read more
Congratulations!

Reminder: Vote for PATH Intl. Board of Trustees and Region Reps
Your vote is valuable to the future of your association. Please vote for the 2019 PATH Intl. Board of Trustees and Membership Outreach Committee Representatives for Regions 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11.

The ballot consists of nominees as recommended by the nominating committee of PATH Intl. and the PATH Intl. membership and contains short biographies of the candidates. Please cast your vote for board of trustees members and only ONE vote for your region representative. (In some cases, there may be only one nominee. We still need your vote, or there is an option to write in a nominee.)

OR

2. Call the PATH Intl. office at (800) 369-7433, and we will mail or fax you a ballot.

Voting will be open through September 30, 2019.

Call for Videos
One of the most fun things at conference are the center videos shown throughout the event. This year, we are putting a little different spin on it. Feel free to submit your fun videos (not promotional videos, please) that highlight your center, your professionals and your participants.

And also submit videos wishing PATH Intl. a happy anniversary. It's as simple as turning on your phone's camera, recording a 10-second message, and then sending it.

We will highlight the videos at the conference and also on the PATH Intl. Facebook page and YouTube channel. Submit videos to Cher Smith, [email protected]

PATH Intl. Staff Update
You may have noticed new people answering the phone or discovered your favorite PATH Intl. staff  member is no longer here. PATH Intl. is going through a transition as we work toward independent accreditation of the Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) certification; grapple with a new database; and face the lowest unemployment rate in 30 years. This has caused us to reorganize staff, eliminating positions while adding others. In addition, we have had experienced staff moving on to new opportunities, and we've faced some challenges in filling open positions.

If you are experiencing longer wait times than usual to speak to someone or have a question answered, know we are working diligently to fill these positions and be responsive to membership. We ask for your patience while we are addressing these challenges and filling these positions.
Application Waiver Member Center Benefit Changing After 10/31/19
The PATH Intl. Member Center benefit of one waived application fee for the registered level certification application fee will be changing on October 31, 2019, as PATH Intl. will no longer be accepting registered level applications after that time.

The NEW member center benefit for the CTRI Application fee, starting October 1, is as follows:

PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Centers will receive 50% off the member price and center members will receive 30% off the member price for ONE CTRI application annually with their membership. Candidates are required to submit a letter from their center authorizing them to use the discount for the year when their application is submitted and include payment for the balance.
