BRINGING TOGETHER WOMEN OF PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AND INFLUENCE IN THE COMMUNITY
MARCH MEETING RECAP
The Flint Women's Forum visited St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center for our March meeting and took a tour of the sewing area and food pantry.

Sr. Carol provided an update on their social enterprise businesses employing women. St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center is now sewing tote bags from fabric made of plastic water bottles. They are also sewing stuffed lambs, especially for Easter. Their pallet assembling business has grown and is now housed at North Gate.
Sr. Judy informed us that there is now a hoop house at St. Luke and they will be selling all their tomatoes to Vehicle City Tacos (VCT) at Tenacity Brewing. She encouraged us to buy delicious food from VCT and enjoy the St. Luke tomatoes!
EDITOR'S NOTE: A great time to visit Vehicle City Tacos at Tenacity Brewing is on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 anytime between 3-10pm for the Flint Handmade Coloring Party! Click HERE for more information.

CHARITY PARTNER ACTIVITIES
For our January, February and March charitable activity, the Flint Women's Forum collected lotion and feminine hygiene products for the women at St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center. Special thanks to the Junior League of Flint for donating to the cause!

For our May and June charitable activity, we will be collecting NEW bath towels and wash cloths of any color. This will the final collection drive for St. Luke as our 2018-2019 Charity Partner.

NOTE: There will not be a charitable activity in April due to the Celebration of Women.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Community Involvement Chair, Crystal Pepperdine, at  [email protected].
