#PGCensus2020: Workshop and Ambassador Training
Prince George's County is hard at work preparing to ensure every person is counted in the 2020 Census. This
Saturday, September 21st, the Complete Count Committee and my office are hosting a workshop to foster new partnerships, identify census challenges, and identify strategies to ensure all are represented in the count. I hope you will consider participating.

5th Annual Parkdale High School College & Career Fair
If your organization provides support for workforce training, college applications, financial aid, etc., please consider hosting a table at my 5th Annual Parkdale High School College and Career Fair.
In addition, I have a special request this year.
Recruiters are slow in responding and I'm looking for volunteers to attend and represent their alma mater or employer.
FY2020 Special Appropriations Grants
Complete applications (with an original signature) for a District 3 Special Appropriations Grant must be post-marked or hand-delivered to County Council Grants Coordinator Gary Sabel no later than Monday, September 30, 2019 to be considered.

Please also send an email to Alesha Wilson, [email protected] to alert her that your grant application has been submitted so she can ensure it is received.
I anticipate making final decisions by the end of December or early January. You can expect to receive notification of your grant, if any, early in 2020, with funds disbursed Spring 2020.
FY2020 Domestic Violence Grants
The Prince George's County Council, committed to ending domestic violence and abuse in the County, has appropriated $500,000 in FY 2020 in a fourth round of grant funding to support the Council's Domestic Violence Grant Program . Learn more about the Program and download the grant application here. Deadline to apply is Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Training Session with Venture Philanthropy Partners
In an effort to assist the broader Nonprofit Community that serves Prince George's County, the County Council will offer a development session centered around capacity building and collaboration. We are honored to have Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP) conduct this session to ensure we are strengthening and empowering our nonprofit community leaders.
