News Circling the Square
Fresh and Local - The Dedham Farmers Market
continues on Wednesdays from 2-6 pm through  October 30. Featuring fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, fresh seafood, health and wellness items, local honey, potted plants from the Endicott Community Greenhouse, handcrafted items and lots more. The market is held on the green at First Church at 670 High St. Click here for a list of our vendors.

Halloween Happenings!  We are busy planning our 8th Annual Dedham Square Trunk or Treat event for Sat. 10/26. Kids come dressed in costumes and enjoy trick-or-treating at over 20 cars decorated by local organizations and businesses!  Family-friendly and not scary!
This year we are adding a cool new event to our Halloween happenings! On the night of 10/26 we're hosting a zombie parade in the Square.  More details on this soon but start planning your costume now!

Live Tunes - Horse Thieves Tavern will host the band Bigfoot starting at 8 pm on Wed. 9/18. 


Sounds Crafty - The Dedham Historical Society & Museum will host a Tavern Night on Friday, 9/20.  Enjoy craft beer and cider tastings, folk music and more.  

DCH summer Dedham Community House Happenings
Registration is open for DCH's full lineup of new and favorite fall programs for ages 2 to adult. New classes include Watch Me Play, Lacrosse, Digital Game Design and Web Design. Visit

Date Night - DCH is hosting a Saturday Night Kids Club For kids from K-grade 6 tomorrow (9/14), 10/5, 10/19 and 11/16  from 6-10 pm. A fun and inexpensive alternative to hiring a babysitter. Activities include sports & games, arts & crafts, a pizza dinner and a movie.

Phantom in the Square - Did you hear that the Phantom Gourmet was recently in the Square filming for an upcoming show at Horse Thieves Tavern? We'll be sure to share the air date so you can tune in! HTT is now serving heirloom tomatoes and produce grown by local farms including peaches for their irresistibly good homemade cobbler shortcake.

- The Jam Zone will open its doors later this month at 597 High Street next to Sergi's Barber Shop. They'll offer music and band lessons to kids and adults, and DJ lessons, too! They'll be at the Dedham Farmers Market all month where visitors have the chance to give some instruments a test drive.

Run to Remember - The Massachusetts Run/Walk for the Fallen will begin at Barnes Memorial Field tomorrow morning, Sat. 9/14.  For registration and event info. click here.   
 
Cow Flappin'  - Dedham Day, also known as "Cow Day" will be on Sun.9/29 from 12-5 pm at Barnes Memorial Field. Games, rides, food, fun and the famous cow flap event.  

Fall Festivities - Across the street from the Dedham Day festivities on 9/29 the Fairbanks House will house their Fall Festival.  Celebrate Dedham's rich history with family friendly activities & demonstrations: colonial and pirate reenactors; weaving; tin-smithing; candle-dipping; petting zoo; colonial cooking; hard cider tastings; free tours of the Fairbanks House c 1637, and much more!

Fun Run - The Dedham Education Foundation will host the DEF Dash 5k on Sun. 10/6. This is a new race that replaces "Bernie's Run" which ran for 10 years through 2018.
