September 20 - 22   Bodywork for Depression and Anxiety with Tracey Moon and Sharon Nash.  This hands-on and highly experiential class is intended for the bodywork practitioner to support clients in the healing of depression and anxiety, however this training is open to everyone interested in empowering massage and bodywork tools to help feel more vital in everyday life. T'ai Chi Chuan

T'AI CHI CHUAN YANG STYLE short form consists of a series of continuous slow standing movements linked together to create a 37 posture form. One learns how to relax the muscles while deepening the breath and calming the spirit, improving balance, flexibility, strength, and alignment. The form can take a year to learn completely but benefits begin immediately, as the class is a blend of beginners and those who are more advanced. Katheryn welcomes you to join the class at any point.

Gentle Yoga

In GENTLE YOGA, Deborah emphasizes yoga breathing, stress reduction, relaxation using body warm ups, and gentle and modified yoga poses to enhance body awareness, muscle and bone strength, range of motion, posture, balance, and an overall sense of well being. The class tends to move at a slower, less vigorous pace than the Yoga I and I/II classes, utilizing props and pose modifications in seated, standing, and floor work.

Yoga I

In YOGA I, Deborah focuses on the basic principles of breathing, stress reduction, alignment, body awareness, strength, balance, and range of motion utilizing the basic standing, seated, and floor poses. This class is for new and continuing students with modifications suggested as needed.

Ultra Gentle Yoga
Tuesdays, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

While temporarily moved to Blueberry Gardens from Friends House Retirement Community for 2019-2020, anyone is welcome to join this class with Deborah while we are at Blueberry Gardens. This class is only one hour long and utilizes chairs and walls for standing and seated poses. Students do get up and down from the floor, with the assistance of a chair as needed.

Yoga I/II
Tuesdays, 5:45 pm - 7:15 pm

YOGA I/II is designed for students who have taken Yoga I and are familiar with the basic poses and builds on this foundation, emphasizing building strength and endurance, refining alignment, and working with more challenging variations. Debbie teaches an alignment-based yoga using the energetics of the postures to achieve a specific and balancing effect. Modifications are provided as needed. Not for students new to yoga.

Sound Bath Meditation

A relaxing, heart and mind opening type of meditative experience, reducing stress as you respond to the sound vibrations surrounding you as you lie down or sit quietly  breathing and relaxing to the sound of the gong, chimes, singing bowls, and other instruments played by Josh.

MEDITATION is led by members of Stillwater Mindfulness Practice Center, which is part of a worldwide network of communities inspired by the teachings and practices of Thich Nhat Hanh. Core values are mindfulness, compassion, and community. Mindfulness is the capacity to be fully present in our lives. The meditation gatherings comprise of sitting and walking meditations, readings, and sharing to enhance inner awareness.
