2001 Porsche Boxster S
3.2 L 250 HP Flat 6 Engine, 6-Speed Manual Trans.
VIN: WP0CB29841U663352
Black/Sand Beige
75,000 Miles

A mid-engined roadster with the sights, sounds, and sensations that we expect from a Porsche. Get past any stereotypes or 911 comparisons, the Boxster stands on its own as a well-balanced and excellent driving car, with the added practicality of two trunks. This one is the higher performance S model, and will accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in 5.2 seconds, with a top speed of 161 mph.

This Boxster has been with the current owner since July of 2003 at ~10,000 miles, with complete service records since then included. Factory options include the Porsche Communication Management system and screen with navigation, telephone module, six speaker AM/FM radio, cassette player and CD player (with 6-disc stacker in front trunk), heated power seats with headrest embossed Porsche crests, 18 in. Turbo look wheels with colored crest center caps, and wind deflector. Recent improvements include installation of a new double row IMS bearing and clutch kit, plus a new convertible top with a glass rear window.

It has seen only one incident (when another driver backed into to it) - resulting in the front fascia being replaced and painted by a reputable local body shop. There was no structural damage. Overall condition is very good. There are a few minor marks on the body and some wear on the driver’s side door pocket lid. Included are two keys, all original owner’s manual and books, the spare tire, jack & tool kit, a Porsche Custom Front Mask/Bra and a Porsche-branded car cover in its duffel bag.

Here is what one car magazine had to say about it:

“Typically, we don't get giddy over cars here – (it) doesn't look professional - but seldom was heard a discouraging word about the Porsche Boxster S, except for the unfortunate fact that few of us can afford one, reasonably priced though it may be. We've loved the Boxster since it rolled off the boat from Germany, but we've unanimously wondered what a little more horsepower and a slightly more aggressive handling package would do for the car. They did what we'd hoped: make an excellent car better. Even before these upgrades, I couldn't imagine paying the extra bucks for a 911. Now, it isn't even worth contemplating.”
– Steven Cole Smith, Car and Driver magazine review, Jan. 1, 2000
